Our farm

We, the Enderle family with Siegfried, Irmengard, Ellen and Janine, would like to welcome you here at our place.
We created three apartments for guests in 2019 as part of a renovation project. The garden was also redesigned and transormed into an oasis of well-being with Mediterranean and Alpine plants and a saltwater pool.

The Sonnenhof deliberately focuses on a small number of guests, according to the principle of a small but exclusive holiday home for guests with high standards. Our philosophy is: time for yourself, relax and enjoy.

You can expect tastefully and lovingly furnished flats and a refreshing saltwater pool in the garden.

Our viticulture

Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Vernatsch are the grape varieties that are cultivated around the Sonnenhof and characterize the landscape. In January we start with winter pruning, and continue with tying: the vine is a climbing plant and it is necessary to tie the branches to support wires. In spring, all sterile shoots on the trunk and shoots that unnecessarly consume the nutrients absorbed by the plant are removed. In JUne, action is taken by stripping the bunches to encourage exposure to sun and air, and topping is used to cut the apex of the shoots. In July, thinning is done when the number of clusters proves excessive. Harvesting takes place depending on the type of vineyard from September through October.

Our fruit grwoing

We grow Gala, Granny Smith, Fuji, Braeburn and Golden Delicious near Lake Kaltern and the valley. Our fruits are cultivated in an integrated way, i.e. we strive to maintain the natural balance of the orchard and to protect the resilience of nature, for example by protecting beneficial insects such as ladybugs and birds and promoting their reproduction through targeted ecological measures. Plant protection products my be used in integrated cultivation – but only if organic products are no longer sufficient and the harvest is at risk. All plant protection products are subject to the strict AGRIOS quality guidelines.
